Momentum Monday Golden Nuggets

  • THE 3 things that are critical to business success:

    1) Mindset/beliefs

    2) Strategy

    3) Implementation/action

This week's Momentum Monday Golden Nuggets:

    Mindset & Belief:

Success is a journey of continuous learning.

I love this quote by basketball legend, Michael Jordan: "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot adn missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

Keep this in mind with the intention of being gentle on yourself - knowing that becoming great at anything takes action and a willingness to learn, improve, and take more action.

    Strategy:

One of the main components of being in business is being paid for the service or product you provide, right?

But one of the traps is getting lost in all the "to-do's" and distractions. So if you want to make sure you're always creating momentum in your business, choose actions that fill these three buckets:

    1. Increasing awareness of what you do and why certain people need that.

    2. Enrolling clients

    3. Serving clients

Are you visual? If so, consider creating a mindmap so that you have a visual. MindMup2.0 is a great tool to do this. It's included in Google Workspace.

Now when you map out the three buckets, you can clearly define the intention for your actions to see if they're all ultimately leading to having clients - so that you can serve and make a bigger impact!

Check for yourself - if you're creating a social media post, what is your intention?

    • To increase awareness about what you do?

    • To increase awareness about why people need what you do?

    • And what are the results?

Extra for experts: Notice I didn't list an option for, "give away free content".

    Implementation:

Putting things into action can be tricky. If you're anything like me, you want things to be all planned out, thought through, and beautifully executed!

I finally realized I'm never going to have these insights perfect and if some of you feel it's not good enough - it's OK!

Like Michael Jordan, it's not failure, it's simply called taking the shot, learning, and improving.

Since you're in business, I encourage you to ask yourself, "how many clients do I want and why?"

Then once you have your number, write that down in the command statement: "I have <number> clients so that <why statement>". Yes, I believe in collaborating with The Universe :)

Then create Priority Time-Blocks on your calendar where you take action on those three buckets I listed above.

    Hint:

Priority does not mean it's time to surf the web or anything else that can easily eat up your time!

Hold youreself accountable - commit to those priority time blocks.

Over the past Seven years of coaching hundreds of coaches and healers, I know that building a successful business that's fueling your passion is not easy.

You were not born with these skills and even if you've been through certification, building a successful business takes added skill-building, accountability, and mentorship.

And I'm here to support you in your journey.

Cheers to the ripple effects of you and your work! I believe in you!

  • It’s Wendy here with your Momentum Monday Golden Nuggets.

As a Business Coach, helping heart-centered experts like you to become sought-after, well-paid experts is what I’m passionate about!

So I’m excited to share some quick tips to boost your momentum.

If you want to have an impact-driven and profitable business, there are Three areas to improve:

  • Mindset/beliefs

  • Strategy

  • Implementation/action plan

This week’s Monday Momentum is all about pricing …

Imagine feeling excited to tell a potential client how much you charge –

and having them excited to pay you!

    Here’s how:

  • Mindset & Beliefs:

Everyone’s beliefs around money are deep in the subconscious and easily undetected.

And because of that it’s easy to feel conflicted and confused about what to charge your clients.

What can they afford?  What’s too much?  What’s too little?

Here’s a quick way to reveal some of the beliefs that are driving your pricing:

    1) Write down your current rate or fee: “My <program/offer> is $___”.

    2) Then cross out that number and write down double that amount.

What thoughts come up when you read that new amount?  Challenge yourself by asking for the evidence to support that thought.

Here’s an easy strategy to help shift your mindset from scarcity and uncertainty to confidence and expansion…

  • Strategy:

When you’re thinking about what to charge your clients, don’t think in terms of hourly fees – that’s when the money stories get triggered – both in you and in your potential clients.

Have you ever worked with someone who charges by the hour?  It creates instant stress – for both you and the expert, right?  Time and money scarcity get triggered! So don’t create stress – that’s not who you are!

Instead, think outcomes.  What is your client able to do, be, or have after working with you?  Picture their new real-life experience.  And the positive ripple effects on those around them.

No doubt in my mind that you're making a profound impact!

Now, ask yourself what’s that new reality worth?

Do you feel the expansion, excitement, and confidence about the value you deliver?

Now let’s carry that forward into the next critical area…

  • Implementation / Action Plan:

Let’s put your new mindset and strategy into action!

Here’s the easiest way to have new clients happy to pay you premium rates: outcome-based packaging.

Packaging in this context is the way you describe your service.

But don’t fall into the biggest trap most experts fall into: talking only about their process.

Yes, your process is important – it’s a big part of how you help your clients achieve their results.  But it’s not the primary reason people will hire you.

People are excited to hire you when they know that working with you gets them what THEY want.

So package your service in a way that illuminates and showcases the real-life outcomes of working with you.

It’s not a series of 6 sessions, right?  It’s the outcome or real life transformation that happens as a result of those six sessions.

For example, waking up Monday morning feeling rested and confident about the week ahead.  Make sense?

And extra for experts – make sure to illuminate the outcomes that matter most to your ideal clients!

You’re going to be hearing that from me a lot!  “What matters most to them?”

Over the past Seven years of coaching hundreds of coaches and healers, I know that building a successful business that fuels your passion is not easy.

I'm here to boost your momentum with some clarity!

  • So this week I'm going to share some easy techniques for how to establish your authority in a way that feels natural.

  • And the first step is mindset!

  • I know that some people find it easy to talk about themselves, but most compassion-driven people would rather find out what's going on for the other person vs talk about themselves.

  • But here's the thing -   If you're an expert who supports others to achieve more - then you've got to talk about yourself, otherwise people won't even know what you do or why someone would benefit from working with you!

  • So the mindset shift is:   "I'm talking about myself so that I can serve more people and make a bigger impact. And if I don't talk about myself, I'm being selfish!"

  • Do you see the importance? You're not gloating or bragging, you're bringing awareness.

  • Now that you've got a better mindset, let's talk technique that feels good so that you don't feel like you're "tooting your own horn" as one of my clients used to say!

  • Approach any visibility opportunity with the intention to clearly communicate:

    1. Who you serve,

    2. Why you're passionate about serving them,

    3. A notable accomplishment and/or social proof, and

    4. The transformation that results.

I call this your "why you and why me" statement.

  • Here's an example:

  • "I'm a Business Success Coach to other coaches and energy workers.

  • They hire me to help them build thriving businesses because generally speaking - they're great at what they do, but they don't know how to build successful businesses that are easy to run.

  • And the reason they love working with me is because I've distilled my 29 years of business development experience and created a simple, yet predictable strategy that makes it easy for them to get discovered, get clients, and exponentially increase their impact and income in a way that feels good and works for them."

  • So - let me ask you - does that sound boastful? I hope not! It's positioning what I do in a way that shows my passion for making a meaningful difference - all in a way that validates I do just that.

  • Give it a try!   I'd love to hear you validate the importance of your work and why people love working with you!

Cheers to the ripple effects of you and your work! I believe in you!
